CHPV Offshore Energy Media Services Began life in Lowestoft, Suffolk, in the 1960's as Charles Hodge Photography.
The company's founder; Charles Hodge, quickly discovered a niche for his photography skills in the Southern North Sea's newly emerging gas industry. The fact that he was not only an excellent photographer but also a keen aviator meant that he could obtain dramatic shots of drilling rigs and offshore installations that few others could match.
Alan O'Neill joined the company as a photographer from the army in 1980 and took over in 1987 with his wife Nicky. She is also a photographer and specialises in hand colour printing
You will find CHPV's photographs on the walls of almost every oil and gas company's offices across the world
Film production was seen as a natural progression and has become a large part of the company's operation during the last 18 years. CHPV has made scores of offshore safety videos and corporate promotional films and in recent years has produced a successful series of equestrian training films, which sell all over the world under the name: The Classical Seat (www.classicalseat.co.uk).
Despite its expansion, CHPV remains a family- run business which prides itself on listening to its clients and working with them to produce oustanding photography and first class films.
